Lots of cards and some great purchases from the One of A Kind show. A few new necklaces, some apple cinnamon maple syrup (YUMMMM), and even a few gifts this time! I really like the Sunday afternoon time frame better then an evening. Oh and the company was great too (Thanks Kristy!)
Matt and I spent the whole day at church where we reached out to the community and offered a free day of childcare so that parents could do Christmas shopping, errands, "whatever". The kids sang songs, learned about the real meaning of Christmas from "Billy Bob", played games, had snack and enjoyed an afternoon carnival. I had to leave before it was finished but I wouldcertainly call the day a success.
We enjoyed our special treats from down south for breakfast and lunch today. Ya-ya just got back from Virginia Beach and always brings us things we can't get here.
My colourful Marlee and I went out for some 1:1 time while Matt was at play practice. She picked out lots of things she liked but ended up spending most of her time looking at greeting cards. She particularly liked the musical ones. What a great time!
The washing machine is here! The washing machine is here! After the washing machine broke (making an extremely loud rumbling inside) and we had a repair person deem it more expensive to fix then to replace and after looking at 6 or 7 stores looking at new and used models, we settled on spending the least amount of money on a new one that was exactly the same as our old model. 2 weeks without a washing machine is a long time (thanks mom for letting us use yours!)
After 5 years of living here we have finally decided to move forward and put up the hand rail to the basement (after its painted of course). I think the walls will thank us.
Our washing machine broke down after 5 years. After a few VERY LOUD days we called a repair person in and of course it costs more to fix then to replace. It's amazing to see that our laundry room can actually look this tidy [and empty!].
I am a SAHM striving to balance motherhood, child care providing, volunteering, hobbies and more with being the person God intends for me to be. I have a terrible memory and like to scrapbook so for me this blog ia a place to record those details. So know that I may just add in details and adjust them chronologically. That's just me!
