Day 271 - 2010

These are the books on my nightstand/coffee table/bathroom shelf right now. We've had 2 good days and nights in a row of sleep and the food ones are just for recipes so I hope I can retire this pile for some more "entertaining" reading soon.

Day 248 - 2010

I'm fianlly getting around to sewing the edges of the bum wipes so they won't fray.

Day 212 - 2010

I had an accident with the food colouring after making icing for cookies. I wonder how long it will take to wear off?

Day 202 - 2010

I got quite a few compliments on my new do. Apparently pink could actually be my colour. I think for now we'll just stick to this style for crazy hair day. As you can see, I do like to participate to the best of my ability!

Day 201 - 2010

Just hanging out at day camp. This little guy has been SUCH a trooper! (I think it might actually be helping us get more of a routine going - YEY!) And btw - the hanging blanket is just to protect his legs from the sun - all totally coordinated as you can see - NOT!

I'm getting some good use out of this "Little Star" sling. It took some getting used to but now Mitchell is actually preferring to walk to school in this rather then the stroller. It also helps that I have two from two different friends.

We walked for the first time to school since Mitchell was born to pick up the kids after school. I'm feeling really good but hoping not to push it. It was great to be out and about though!

Day 98 - 2010

Marlee has been fascinated with all of my old earrings (yes why do I still have them? I only seem to wear the one pair all the time!) Anyway I have two holes in one ear and three in the other and she likes me to wear "special" jewelry all day - like my Christmas or Halloween pins and earrings. This is especially pretty when she has done my hair. Oh I am glamour girl all the way! (Sorry - no photo)

I really enjoyed attending Matt's field trip to do mapping skills today at the nearby conservation park. We had a blast although it was a lot more trudging through snow then I anticipated. I definitly got my exercise today. I love that as a SAHM I can do this.

Day 39 - 2010

Favourite drink.

Right now it is Sunny D. I may have to attribute it to an actual craving. I don't know what it is but I am loving it and I know that Drew has caught the bug too. I first picked up a small bottle at the dollar store a few months ago and tried it (hadn't ever before). I really liked it and have been buying the jugs for the last 2 months. Maybe it is the memory of tang from my childhood, maybe its the pregnancy. Who knows? I prefer the reduced sugar kind and try to limit myself to 2-3 small glasses a day. I'm hoping it is better then my craving of Kit Kats with Marlee!

Day 37 - 2010

Something or someone that makes you smile.

I'd have to say it's the belly right now. I wish there was a way to capture the feeling of the kicking, and the fluttering - maybe not the rib pushing but you know what I mean. I still have feelings of insecurity - is it really happening? And I can only trust that everything happens for a purpose. I can't wait for this new life to be a part of our lives and I am excited to see what is in store.

Day 28 - 2010

A common occurence lately. We both find ourselves needing a short doze sometime between 5:30 and 7pm - giving us enough pep to get dinner on the table, homework done and/or the kids ready for bed. Who am I kidding? We still stay up until midnight every night!

Day 27 - 2010

Doctor visit day at 30 weeks. All is going well - weight gain good, the baby is measuring on the big side. A c-section date has been booked for March 22.

Day 13 - 2010

Marlee is going through a wonderful phase of being huggy and a mommy's girl. I have to say couldn't enjoy it more.

Day 8 - 2010

28 weeks or 7 months. Moving right along!

Day 2 -2010

All flattery aside, it was wonderful to be able to sleep in. I'm glad the kids are at a stage where they are fairly self-sufficient. This is going to change in the household soon.
