Day 150 - 2010

Run Drew run! Do you think he gets tired of hearing that? He and Glenn successfully completed the Ottawa half marathon in 1 hour 48 minutes. Way to go guys! Awesome!

Day 149 - 2010

We had a busy day exploring some of Ottawa. The kids started in the hotel pool (with water slides, fountains and a wave pool). We then headed to the museum of science and technology where there were lots of activities for the whole family. Our favourites were the communication area, the wonky kitchen, the static electricity ball and riding the snowmobiles.

Day 148 - 2010

I am amazed that Mitchell was able to take a nap with us all in one room together. We are at the hotel in Ottawa preparing for Drew to run the half marathon on Sunday.

Day 146 - 2010

There's nothing more satisfying then a clean area. Today it was behind the stove. It's amazing how much "stuff" collects there (and how rarely it gets cleaned!).

Day 145 - 2010

Mitchell is 2 months old today and so we had another couch photo shoot.

Day 144 - 2010

Another chilly dip - well maybe not for the kids, but you won't catch us in there for a few more weeks.

Day 143 - 2010

The great coke taste challenge took place this evening. Vanilla coke, coke and cherry coke were all tested (and Matt got his first taste of pop). I believe that vanilla coke was chosen the favourite.

Day 142 - 2010

We opened the pool today and had a QUICK dip. Only the kids were brave enough.

Day 141 - 2010

Cierra had a birthday celebration at Moose Winnoosky's with our family and a few friends from school. She loved the moose head, the HM cake and her new ipod. It was such a hoot to see her with her friends. She had such a good time being the life of the PARTY!

Day 140 - 2010

We were invited to the school to see the grade 2 science fair. Matt proudly showed off his pulley system as well as his friends projects.

Day 139 - 2010

Happy 20th Cierra! She woke to balloons in her room, a few gifts downstairs and a scavenger hunt (with help) to her last and favourite gift - a New Moon book which ended in her bed.

Day 138 - 2010

The kids LOVE Mitchell and do a great job at entertaining him.

Mitchell had another vaccination today. He did great!

The kids had a blast playing with their cousins when we were visiting their new house. They always head straight for the trampoline as soon as we get there.

We're working on controlling our emotions. Matt has a bit of a temper at times. And to add? He was NOT happy about me taking this picture. Lesson learned - no need to stir the pot in the future.

Rock on sista! Her current favourites are Hannah Montana, Axel F, Strawberry Shortcake and Sleeping Beauty. Here she had to go with the whole HM look. I think she does it well don't you?

Matthew is working on a science project on pulleys. He needed to make a display board for his material - and was not that happy about having to do it on a timeframe (not his btw). We worked out the kinks though and all was well.

A little snow in the morning and sidewalk paint and hockey in the afternoon. Note to self: Tempera paint is not comparable to sidewalk paint. It lasts and lasts and lasts...

It is time to say goodbye to Cierra's Hannah Montana knapsack. It had a good run but is splitting through the bottom and the handle is just about off. Believe me, it will be missed.

We were a little late in getting Drew his birthday cake - which of course had to have all the candles!

Mitchell had his hearing test today. He passed and kept on sleeping.

Day 122 - 2010

Happy Birthday Drew! We all went out for brunch at his pick. Marlee, Matt and Cierra amused themselves well with the camera.

Day 121 - 2010

Matt was the 'P' in GPS today - the drama at church. They all did such a great job. He decided this term to be on the creative team rather then the drama side. I'll admit that we were a little disappointed - he's such a good singer - but he has thoroughly enjoyed himself. They made all the backdrops, the costumes and the props each night and then joined the drama side for snack and games.
