Yikes! It's been a while since I uploaded this account. Flylady is very communicative. I cna't say that I am reading her work regularly (obvioulsy) but I am still following a majority of her "leadings".
We decided to do our trip home in 2 days instead of the usual one. We had a good trip to White River and took our traditional photo with Winnie the Pooh. We kept going to stay overnight in Wawa.
Back to the beach. We got a large beach umbrella when we were in town yesterday to help with the shade for Mitchell and as long as the wind didn't blow it down the beach it was a great set-up. Again, we are loving the beach this year.
Happy birthday six year old! Marlee awoke to balloons in her room, a scavenger hunt leading her all around camp (even down to the waterfront) for her present from Grandma and Grandpa and then special waffles for breakfast. Later in the day our cousins came out for dinner with us. I think she really enjoyed her day.
Marlee chose MacDonald's for her lunch on her birthday 1 on 1 day. We shopped, ate and just enjoyed our time together. Happy birthday sweet girl! I love spending the day like this - away from distractions - just with you. And I love that you were accommodating enough to have Mitchell with us without complaint.
Dunes and waterways and lots of rocks to do so. It is so neat to see two kids who see each other a few days a year just pick up and play together as if time has not passed at all. It reminds me of when I used to do the same with his mother.
Mitchell seems to have an affection for things that are red. We didn't think to bring our highchair so we sufficed with the bumbo chair - and a number of accessories. Little did we know that cans of coke and the ketchup bottle would be all he wanted!
Marlee was really beginning to get the hang of the whole frisbee game. The three of them had a great time doing lots of 'diving'. Well, maybe not Drew so much!
Mitchell became VERY attached to the light saber the kids got. So much so that he screamed any time anyone tried to take it away from him (because yes -it isn't the most appropriate toy for a child of his age!)
Colter has been continuing "camp" for the kids ever since day camp ended. They have been doing chores and activities for points and he has purchased his own prizes for them. They put on a parents program at the end of the day for me with all of the videos. He is going to make a great leader one day.
Drew's cousins from New York came up for a visit and inspired a ride on the horses. Mitchell had his first ride (don't worry Drew was right there), Cierra got up and it was great to see Jan on again. Marlee opted to watch from the sidelines but did try her hand at some golf earlier on.
I am a SAHM striving to balance motherhood, child care providing, volunteering, hobbies and more with being the person God intends for me to be. I have a terrible memory and like to scrapbook so for me this blog ia a place to record those details. So know that I may just add in details and adjust them chronologically. That's just me!
