Day 257 - Monday, September 14, 2009

Another loss. It seems to be a big year for losses this year, and they continue to sadden me more then ever. He handled his struggle with cancer with such dignity.

Day 256 - Sunday, September 13, 2009

We participated in the annual Terry Fox run before church

and headed to Fall kick-off at church where we had a reverse day (adults went out to "Sunday School" and kids stayed in) and introduced the new children's groups.

Day 255 - Saturday, September 12, 2009

Matt started ball hockey for the season and we've been making Country Style a pit stop for their sprinkle or coconut country bits (the only ones in town).

Day 254 - Friday, September 11, 2009

Garbage day was pushed back this week because of Labour Day - this is all the recycling we brought back from TBay. For all that I complain about how little we do - we do more here, and this seems like the least we can do.

The soap dispenser got broken today. I think a new plastic one is in order.

Day 252 - Wednesday, September 9, 2009

Happy 09/09/2009! I took advantage of a great deal today and stayed up til midnight filling my online order with Walmart for 99 photos for $9.99. I actually ordered 281 photos before I ran out of time. I'm sure they'll keep me busy anyway.

Happy birthday to my 2 cousins as well - one of whom is actually 9 today! Too cool!

And Marlee was sort of ready for Senior Kindergarten today!

Sure to be one of our last days of swimming and outdoor snacks. The nights are cool so the pool is cool.

Close up time at the cottage. Sad to see it go and blessings for a safe return next year.

We stopped at Agawa Trading Post for a pit stop and Marlee wanted pictures with all of the "creatures" and "people" around the place. Matt and Cierra soon caught on and wanted photos of them all as well.

The new shelving (finally up for me this year apparently) has made a real difference. It is so nice not to have to go down into the dining area for all of the dishes!

We woke up today to fog across the water. Beautiful.

Later in the day the neighbours came out so the kids got reacquainted with them and their toys.

Another day spent working on the wood around the cottage. I think we have done more work this year then we have since the kids were born! It feels and looks great!
