Day 350 - 2010

Marlee's drawings are getting a lot more intricate in their detail. I love her creative side. She always has something on the go and it is exciting to see her adding text to her pictures too.

Day 238 - 2010

Happy birthday six year old! Marlee awoke to balloons in her room, a scavenger hunt leading her all around camp (even down to the waterfront) for her present from Grandma and Grandpa and then special waffles for breakfast. Later in the day our cousins came out for dinner with us. I think she really enjoyed her day.

Day 237 - 2010

Marlee chose MacDonald's for her lunch on her birthday 1 on 1 day. We shopped, ate and just enjoyed our time together. Happy birthday sweet girl! I love spending the day like this - away from distractions - just with you. And I love that you were accommodating enough to have Mitchell with us without complaint.

Day 204 - 2010

This is the best shot I could get for today from Marlee - she lost another tooth yesterday. That makes tooth #4 (upper middle). She still hasn't put tooth #3 under her pillow yet - not sure what is up with that. I think she has actually lost it.

Day 179 - 2010

And then we had graduation at school today. Oh Marlee - what a year it has been. She wasn't always keen to go but was so much better this year since her younger friend was with her. She is more then happy that today marks graduation and is actually excited about next year being all day every day. Go figure! Regardless, she is ready to embrace the summer holidays!

Day 178 - 2010

We had kindergarten graduation at church today. Marlee gets to move up to the next class in September. She received a certificate and a new bible to commemorate the occasion. I can't believe how grown up she is looking!

Marlee lost her first tooth (of normal causes) - and is so excited to get money on Christmas!

Marlee was so sweet with her prayers this evening... she "surprised" me and thanked God that she could read a book from the red bin (the next level up). She was so pleased with herself that she had indeed "surprised" me. I'm just glad that she is enjoying reading and it is beginning to show!
