Day 356 - 2010

Happy 8th birthday buddy!

Matt invited friends over to the church for slides on the inflatable slide and mini stick hockey. He asked for a LEGO cake and we kept the food at snacks. Our families met at our house for family time and gifts afterwards. The party was a toonie party and Matt is making a list for all the loot he'll get when we match the amount. Us - well we just can't believe that you are 8 already!!! Happy birthday to you big guy of big hair and thumbs out fame!

Day 296 - 2010

Matt scored his first goal for the team today in ice hockey. He got to keep the puck - way to go bud!

Day 134 - 2010

We're working on controlling our emotions. Matt has a bit of a temper at times. And to add? He was NOT happy about me taking this picture. Lesson learned - no need to stir the pot in the future.

Day 101 - 2010

Lately when Matt is mad at us (or the world) he has taken to hiding under the cushions and having a good cry. It can be big and it can be little. Go figure.

Day 356 - Tuesday, December 22, 2009

Happy Birthday buddy!!!! I can't believe our baby is 7 years old! He wanted birthday balloons in his room as well as the birthday banners (I LOVE these traditions!), and Lucky Charms for breakfast. We celebrated later with a party at the church with a number of friends, a jumping slide, jumping castle, mini stick hockey and pizza and cake. He considered it a great success.

Day 327 - Monday, November 23, 2009

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth. Matt lost his 11th tooth today at school (no - not all "fell" out - some were pulled).

Tooth #10 came out today! He was MOST excited!
