Marlee and I took part in some barbie/pet shop/polly pocket/barbie furniture GIRL/ one-on-one time while the boys were at hockey (actually Mitchell was on the floor beside us chewing on the toy potty but that's okay).
A summer BINGO challenge - to work on a 100+ piece puzzle. They chose the world puzzle we have and "thankfully" are all working together in a team effort. So nice when this happens!
Matt made a fabulous creation at the dentist office. These toys never seem to go out of style - we have them at home but they aren't played with all that often and yet they are immediately pounced up on here. I also bet they will want to get them out once we get home.
Kristy dropped off some more "cast-offs" for the kids. As you can see they didn't make it past the front door. This box was polly pockets, littlest pet shop and bratz accessories. ALL of the kids were in heaven - before school and after!
It's amazing how a simple box can occupy so much time. Marlee picked this out from the grocery store a few days ago, painted it today and it became a great seat (after some blankets and pillows were added inside). Now if only storage were as easy!
LONG overdue toy washing of Dr B's office toys. I'm not sure why I put it off sometimes. It really only takes about 1/2 hour of actual work. These have sat in the garage for at least 2 months. It feels good to get it done though and clear up the garage a bit.
Matt developed a fever over night and has become a little obsessed with checking it. We kept him home from school which seemed a little silly because he certainly acted okay.
It did give him the ability to put together his Indiana Jones set. Do you think it may have been a ploy?
To say that Matt was THRILLED to have his Indiana Jones Lego set arrive in the mail is an understatement. He used his birthday money (a toonie party described here) to purchase the set online and then pestered every day to know when it would get here. Drew very patiently made a map and showed him how the package was tracked all the way here. It couldn't happen fast enough.
We've finally got enough snow for the kids to be tobogganing on the front lawn again. They are so excited especially since we have new sleds to accommodate everyone!
I am a SAHM striving to balance motherhood, child care providing, volunteering, hobbies and more with being the person God intends for me to be. I have a terrible memory and like to scrapbook so for me this blog ia a place to record those details. So know that I may just add in details and adjust them chronologically. That's just me!
