Day 364 - 2010

Mitchell is enjoying a new pastime - emptying as many containers out of the drawer as possible. It does make it hard to keep organized but I can certainly think of worse things for him to get into. I get a little worried about what he does with the forks though...

And we had to try and get a close up of his new teeth. We're up to 6!

Day 362 - 2010

It was so nice to have everyone home and to just relax today. We all played some Wii together - something we haven't done for a long time. I forget that there are other things to do with it than listen to Matt play Mario Cart!

Even the girls got into it!

Day 360 - 2010

The IKEA bowls are so easy to entertain with. I guess Marlee was getting jealous that Mitchell was having all of the fun and wanted to get in on the action. I haven't seen him do this with them though...

Day 351 - 2010

I witnessed (dare I say) a rare moment of the two of you playing well together. It tends to happen when the construction-type toys or creative/artsy type activities come out. It also happens more often when we say good bye to the technology for a while. This may be painful for the first bit but by and large the end result is so much better! (Psst - I think we are gearing up for some big changes in this area!)

Day 347 - 2010

Matt is so good about playing with Mitchell (all three are actually). Mitchell wants to do everything that the older kids are doing. Today they were using the automatic mode on the piano and cranking out some 'interesting' tunes.

Day 287 - 2010

It was only us after school today so we headed to the library where Marlee and Matthew participated in the open lego room. It was simply a room with a few tables set up and several buckets of lego. And they really enjoyed it. Cierra and I and Mitchell looked at books and we actually ran into 4 families we knew. I'd love to do something like this at church one day!

Day 275 - 2010

Marlee and I took part in some barbie/pet shop/polly pocket/barbie furniture GIRL/ one-on-one time while the boys were at hockey (actually Mitchell was on the floor beside us chewing on the toy potty but that's okay).

Day 256 - 2010

Matt was so happy to purchase (with his own money) this Storm Trooper helmet. He is on the hunt for an Anakin Skywalker costume for Halloween this year and we will look for a storm trooper costume for dress-up when the sales are on.

Day 249 - 2010

We spent the last day of holidays before school with friends - it's always great to play with new toys.

Day 234 - 2010

Marlee is amazing at just playing. She can find great ways to amuse herself - and it's another reminder of how much we like the beach.

Day 210 - 2010

We spent the entire day up at the Clayt French Park in Orillia. We met up with friends and took our bikes, played at the playground, in the sand, on the splashpad, went through the corn - you name it - it was great.

Day 193 - 2010

Another evening walk to the park with a dip in the water. We really do love this park!

Day 181 - 2010

It is the first day of summer holidays and Matt and Marlee have the driveway all set up to
watch ---??? I thought the hockey game was the other way but I could be wrong! They are always wanting to get everything out of the garage to play - and not always so keen to move it all back when going on to another activity. Is this the forecast for the summer?

Day 170 - 2010

All I have to say is thank goodness the doors were closed! The kids get such a kick when they think that they are "getting me".

Day 135 - 2010

The kids had a blast playing with their cousins when we were visiting their new house. They always head straight for the trampoline as soon as we get there.

Day 115 - 2010

There is nothing like messing around with daddy - especially when you get to go upside down.

Day 112 - 2010

So sad when the snack falls in the sand at the park.

Spring means visiting the green park and the spinning flower again.
