Day 108 - 2010

We got free tickets from the school to see a variety/ magic show at the college. We gave some other tickets to a few friends and watched the show together. It was quite entertaining for us all - kids and adults alike - and a fun way to spend the afternoon together. One of those things that you really aren't sure if you want to go to but ends up being a good time. Thank goodness!

Day 316 - Thursday, November 12, 2009

I love days when the kids are actually interested in playing games together rather then requesting to watch tv all the time (not that they get to!)

Day 313 - Monday, November 9, 2009

Axel F and 500 Miles are the current dance favourites.

Day 310 - Friday, November 6, 2009

Nothing better then a little 1:1 hockey with dad.

Day 309 - Thursday, November 5, 2009

We got enough hail today for collecting and shovelling and a whole lot of entertainment.

Day 305 - Sunday, November 1, 2009

Marlee loves to make her own videos and watch them over and over and over...

Day 264 - Monday, September 21, 2009

The kids were really getting the "do unto others" rule tonight when they played trouble. Finally.

Day 227 - Saturday, August 15, 2009

Front row seats at the local summer theatre - this time it was a rendition of Peter Pan. This is the 4th year for Matt and the 3rd year for Cierra and Marlee. They do such a great job - very audience oriented.

Day 224 - Wednesday, August 12, 2009

Ah Drew - always ready with a laugh.

Day 222 - Monday, August 10, 2009

One of Marlee's birthday wishes was to go glow-in-the-dark mini putting. She had her wish today.

Day 210 - Wednesday, July 29, 2009

We had a playdate today and Marlee got to try out the perler beads they had. She's been wanting to do them at home for ages.

Day 198 - Friday, July 17, 2009

Jen and Jon's wedding tonight! It was a 7 pm ceremony and a great night out - but I am no longer someone who can wear short tight"er" dresses - especially when spending most of the evening sitting.

Day 197 - Thursday, July 16, 2009

We had the rare opportunity to watch 2 friends play hockey tonight. I'd like to say that the kids were as enraptured all night as they were in this photo but sadly no. They did enjoy the space to run around and annoy all of the other people around (well not really - but they were loud).

Day 186 - Sunday, July 5, 2009

The W's told us at church that they were going to the drive-in tonight so being the good friends we are, we invited ourselves along. We saw Ice Age 3 and Night at The Smithsonian. The kids stayed up for all of it (yes - that is 1:30am - The W's went home after the first show). There were a few questionable scenes (dinosaurs) but otherwise not TOO bad. Marlee was quite concerned at the one squirrel losing his chest hair. I don't blame her.

Day 185 - Saturday, July 4, 2009

We've added Toyota Ticklers to our cars to spot game. I think it might be a bit much.

Day 182 - Wednesday, July 1, 2009

Happy Canada Day! After Drew and the kids spent the day at the farm (giving me some time to myself), we watched a few episodes of Odyssey and then Drew and I watched Twilight. Oh the teen angst!

Monday, June 29, 2009

Day 180 - Monday, June 29, 2009

We have been playing Guess Who for the past few days. It's neat to see the kids figuring out how to ask better questions.

Saturday, June 27, 2009

Day 178 - Saturday, June 27, 2009

Being "prepared" at the ball hockey game. Entertainment and food.

Saturday, June 13, 2009

Day 164 - Saturday, June 13, 2009

Drew had the guys from the church golf tournament over to the house so I took the kids to see the God Rocks live Movie at the theatre. We had a really good time - we enjoyed the music enough that we stopped to buy some afterwards.
